The list includes many categories, from transport -for example we have talked about Shai Agassi and his Project Better Place venture in Israel and Denmark- to energy production with sun and wind. Given that IT is still big money, it is a surprise that people that know this market well, risk capital in a sector that has less guaranteed earnings. So I came up with a list of what their incentives might be: (continued)

The first generation Kuro TVs were already the kings of black. Despite Pioneer stopping producing them and relying on Panasonic for their manufacturing, the second generation is said to offer five times blacker blacks! Now this is going to look awesome and if CES previews are correct, the new generation models have black looking blacks even in a completely dark room! (continued)

After being successful with memory chips, SuperTalent is extending its reach to SSD drives. Its new models that have capacities of 30, 60 and 120GB will cost $299, $449 and $699 respectively. The good thing is that they incorporate the newer MLC (Multi-Level Cell) technology. As previously mentioned, MLC technology is one of the technical features that will propel SSD drives to widespread adoption. (continued)
